Training Aids
Our manuals are used during the lessons and then by the students for personal study. Later they can also serve as a useful resource for review. The manuals include lists of useful words and phrases, questionnaires for you to complete, and are structured to gradually introduce new topics. Manuals are provided to students at a small charge to cover cost of photocopy and CD.
Basic level
The first series of lessons is focused on basic speaking and when completed will allow the student to communicate basic items with drivers, maids, sales persons, etc. Early lessons also provide an understanding of a phonetic language that helps the student to study without first learning the Thai alphabet characters.
This level will require about 45 hours of instruction.
Besides simple general communication, this series includes grammar allow the teacher to teach you how to make sentences in Thai language easily. Many foreigners have said that Thai language is very difficult - but when you decide to learn with us, then you will say that it is not that hard!!! (We guarantee!!)
Intermediate level
This series of lessons is focused on daily activities such as telephone communications with the utility service centre, communication with the repair man, higher level understanding of Thai language structure, introduction to Thai slang, Thai idioms, etc….
As you would expect, this is a progressions to more complex discussions and includes significant focus on vocabulary. Upon completion of this level, the student should be well prepared to address a group using Thai language.
Advanced level
These lessons begin to focus on higher level issues such as understanding the news, interviewing staff members, discussing current events, further learning of Thai slang, idioms, and local Thai culture and history.
Lessons are available Monday to Saturday between the hours of 6.30 am to 8.30 pm
